Votes Are In for Anti Bullying Week




This week we answered the question;

Does your school do enough to deal with bullying?

This week, voters mark Anti-Bullying Week by considering the strategies in place at their school to deal with bullying behaviour. Meanwhile, the assembly takes a closer look at how The Online Safety Act will affect bullying.



Our results were unanimous after dicussing the pitfals of the current mainstream school systems. Young people offered the idea that young people should come together to offer some alternative solutions to bullying and that the 'just ignore it' attitude needs to change in mainstream schools. This young person felt, that in Simmons House Classroom, young people felt more comfortable to speak out when they need to and that there is a better overview of what is 'going on' than at larger schools where things can go missed.
