Back in April, the Simmons House Classroom Annual Sunflower Growing Competition commenced, as staff and Young People came together to plant their trusty seeds.
After weeks of watering, repotting, searching for the sunniest spots and a touch of friendly competition, the time finally arrived to determine the winners of this year’s contest.
Our official judge, complete with crown, cape and tape measure, chose three lucky winners. Certificates were awarded for the tallest plant, the best flower and judge's favourite. This year’s tallest came in at a whopping 140cm!
