News
Due to building works beginning on the ward in January 2024, the unit is temporarily closed to new admissions.
We are looking forward to welcoming pupils on site again as soon as possible and will share details here once we know when this can begin. Please do contact Gerry Robinson as Executive Head (gerry.robinson@haringey.gov.uk) or Lorraine Coady as Head of Classroom (lorraine.coady@nhs.net) should you have any questions about the service.
About
We have been fortunate to be able to develop three garden spaces on the unit - the classroom's vegetable allotment, a sensory garden, and the courtyard - to ensure Young People have as much access as possible to the outdoors and nature.
We try to encourage students to spend time outside whenever possible, whether this is to do gardening, PE or class work, and endeavour to use our home-grown, organic produce in lunch cookery each week. The Royal Horticultural Society's Campaign for School Gardening has been a great support and we are hoping to achieve our Level 4 Award this year.
The classroom also participates in Eco-Schools to empower young people to advocate for their environment.
