This week we discussed the following 'votes for schools' topic in association with Refugee Week.
During a thoughtful conversation, young individuals expressed their opinions effectively on the topic. They shared personal experiences of prejudice and unanimously affirmed that their perspectives remained unchanged.
The young people discussed the idea that Ukrainian refugees may have received more favourable treatment based on their skin colour. Young people noticed how wars could become temporarily popular in media discussions, but then suddenly fade away, even if the conflict was ongoing.
Such a pertinent topic for discussion, the young people did fantastically to engage and offer such thoughtful and considered responses.
