This weeks votes for schools topic is 'Should non-LGBTQ+ people tell LGBTQ+ stories?', the young people held a discussion about this and gave informed and thoughtful opinions, taking turns to speak about their lived experiences as well as reflecting on the difficulty of casting roles for TV and
cinema.
We voted 67% in favour of non-LGBTQ+ people being able to tell LGBTQ+ stories, with students adding, 'it's okay as long as the actor seeks advice from someone who has experience' as well as 'it's important not to type cast people'.
