Spring Rolls are said to bring wealth as their shape is reminiscent of gold bars. Noodles symbolise longevity (long life). And fortune cookies symbolise luck, fate, wisdom, and the mysteries of the unknown.
Whether your believe this or not, it is valuable to have an insight into the things that are important to other cultures, and through this we may gain understanding of our own values, beliefs and traditions. It's also a lot of fun to work together in preparing our meal.
