Rights Respecting Schools Group Art Display
Using the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as the starting point we have begun to collage a background onto our large display board. Images include ones from current affairs which reflect the rights of children as well as more symbolic illustrations. Hopefully the background will act as a stimulus for students to think about the core issues surrounding the UNCRC and what they might mean to them. In particular it should be a really good way to introduce new students to the topic. The large heads are made out of papier mache and have been painted in an expressionistic acrylic background ready for the next layer of imagery to be added.
