Crafting Christmas Baubles

We are enjoying upcycling some of our school print outs to make decoupage Christmas baubles. It has been a strange but satisfying way to revisit some of the work we have done together over the past term - see if you can spot baubles from Reading Round stories and poems, Maths Challenge, and Anti-Bullying Week.

Young people voted on a colour scheme, choosing red, pink, silver and rose gold as our theme this year. When the coloured tissue arrived one student described our pink glitter tissue paper as the "prettiest paper in the world."

We learnt different decoupage techniques to achieve different effects such as pin stripe, monochrome, tearing the paper or using scissors for straight edges, and applying a matt or gloss finish.

We think they look great and we are looking forward to hanging them on our christmas tree which is being generously provided by Sunshine Garden Centre in Bounds Green. https://www.sunshinegardencentre.co.uk/
